Pressure Mapping

Astec is pleased to be able to offer pressure mapping for backrests and Cushions.

Pressure imaging, when used appropriately, is an excellent tool for analysis of support surfaces performances relating to pressure, education and user understanding. Our experienced team can assist with gathering of useful information, support surface analysis and client/carer education. The proper setup of equipment along with visual evidence of effective pressure relieving techniques (such as leaning forward) will assist in prevention of skin breakdowns or the ongoing treatment of existing skin breakdowns. Evaluation of support surfaces using pressure imaging as one of the tools will help ensure the most effective solution is provided for the end user. Information generated with pressure imaging can assist in funding application approvals.
